IV. Mentoring

What is a mentor you ask? Well, they are the people that help the new members of EvenStar Weyrhold (ESWh) understand how things work in the club, the proper way to write up a post, and that they stick with the Pern Canon. In ESWh the Mentor Program is pretty straight forward. All new Members, the "Newbies" (You) are paired up with an experienced writer (Supposedly the Mentors :P), so it is their job to get you started in the club and get the ball rolling for you.

All new members will be assigned to a mentor! Mentorship means that you (the Newbie) must send your posts to your mentor  to be approved before you send the post to the list. No exceptions. Now we want you to keep in mind that your mentor is not going to belittle you and tell you anything rude. They are just here to read over your posts, offer complements and/or suggestions if needed. They will _not_ be telling you how to write, everyone has their own style, and you are free to write in anyway you like. As long as it isn't breaking any rules.

Before a Mentor can release their Mentees from mentorship they must receive four uncorrected posts. Two of those must be co-posts with other club members. If that is met then off the Mentees go to become full Member status. Even if a Mentee does send off all four posts without being corrected, they will remain under a Mentor for at least two (2) Real life months. So I will "review" your post and I will do one of two things: 1) Send it back to you and say something along the lines of "Good work, this is free to go to the list", or 2) Make a suggestion or tell you if something isn't allowed (Doesn't Happen Often).
